We eagerly await the arrival of the film’s would be antagonist only to find out a horrible horrible truth about this very strange entry into the Horror Movie and then question how this thing got to be such a franchise. Plus, Alex goes on a rant about eavestroughs that is super duper entertaining.

The Nothing to Fear gang kicks off Season Two of the show with a delightfully comedic romp that is Cabin in the Woods. Luke counts how many horror tropes they use in the movie but loses count around 2 billion, Alex ruminates on how much more enjoyable this movie was since we watched it after seeing so many horror films and Billie fools everyone by making them think that she was involved with sports when she was really talking about halloween candy. 

See if you can catch a cameo voice from the absolutely lovely Kellee Cahill. Only the sharpest eared listeners will be able to tell.

Spooky Halloween (season), Everyone! 

This week we are embarking on a 4 week adventure into the horror film legacy that is the Halloween franchise. We’re talking about John Carpenter’s original entry which introduces us to Michael Myers and his creepy, silent, relentless killing behaviour. Obviously, as with every podcast there will be spoilers for this movie (and probably some others). For the month of October we are going to be selecting different entries of the Halloween franchise ranging from the good ones, to…..less good ones (cough. season of the witch).

We’re talking about the 2007 Spanish Language horror movie, REC. Billie gets super duper scared, Alex works on coming up with word play and Luke bridges the gap between this movie and it’s American counterpart called Quarantine.

Sure he’s a bit free with the chain sawing and he’s not much for words but there’s nothing like seeing a place with a local as your tour guide. (end sarcasm)

We’re talking all about the first Texas Chain Saw Massacre this week! Tobe Hooper directs a chilling film that leaves the group confused, spooked and thoroughly entertained. Here’s hoping this podcast does the trick as well.
