We can’t think of a better way to ring in the New Year than by talking about a film where there is a graveyard that can bring things back to life (like 80s nostalgia and Star Wars reboots) but somehow wrong or different. This marks the first week of birthday month at Nothing to Fear. All of us hosts have a January birthday and since we decided to have a fourth week in January we had to get our dear friend Mark involved since he is also a January baby.

We close our very first calendar year at Nothing to Fear with a Mega-sized episode discussing all the ins and outs of Get Out. Even though Billie is 3 years late to the party on this Jordan Peele directorial debut, she can’t actually shut up about it. It Chapter Two takes place 27 years after the first chapter. The movie was released a YEAR after the first one. But we’re impatient at Nothing to Fear so the gap is only one week long. We’re diving back into the sewers of Derry, Maine to confront our fears, drag them out in the daylight and reveal them to be much less powerful than we perceive. 

NOW. There is the depiction of a very horrifying homophobic attack that opens the film as well as a character that suicides, so please take that as a content warning for the discussion of the episode.
